What is Belonging?

Think about other ways that you can remind yourself that you are loved. Think about ways that you can remind others that they are loved. One opportunity is to print this version of the mirror cling. Color or decorate it. Write a love note and give it to a friend.

 

Belonging in Yourself

Before you were even born, God knew you. You belonged to God. There is nothing you can do to lose God’s love. There is nothing you can do to earn God’s love. God loves you just the way you are.

We belong to God. We also belong to our community. Baptism is the moment when you say yes to God’s love and belonging. 

Read the Book of Common Prayer pages 304-305. Discuss which activities go with which promises. What other activities could you add? Make your own belonging bingo with those ideas!

Make a plan to take action to help someone in the world far away from you. You can do this as a group with your friends. Tell others about it and get them involved.
